Celebration Theater

Founded in 2000, the mission of Celebration Theater is to mount first-rate theatrical productions that challenge and entertain a diverse audience, both from Lansdowne and from a broad range of communities in and around Philadelphia.

Our past performances include A Christmas Carol (2001), The Woman in Black (2002), Ghost Train (2003), It’s a Wonderful Life (2004), Play On (2005) The Secret Garden (2005), Proposals (2006), Play It Again, Sam (2007), Fools (2007), The Laramie Project (2008), Lend Me a Tenor (2009), and Bunnicula (2009).

Performances are held in Lansdowne’s Twentieth Century Club, built in 1911 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is located at 84 South Lansdowne Avenue, just south of the SEPTA Regional Rail station.
